The Faim // Talk Talk // Album Review

8

Aussie rockers The Faim are back with their highly anticipated sophomore album Talk Talk, following up on their 2019 debut State Of Mind, you couldn’t turn your head back in 2019 going into 2020 without catching The Farm in your periphery, yet like all great things the sizzle hot the fan in 2020 stalling the rise of this fine band In their tracks.

Thankfully, 2022 sees the return of the Aussie lads once again ready to take on the world one catchy track at a time, Talk Talk is an album packed and I mean packed with absolute bangers. One after another you get sucked right into The Farm’s addictive songwriting, its beautifully clean and simplistic style just grips you from start to finish and you’ll find yourself eleven tracks in wondering where the hell did the album go?

These guys have a fresh yet retrospective style that allows their pop-infused rock to flow effortlessly across the album, I can still see clearly the images of the guys live we captured of them back in Bristol in 2019 and know that this album is going to translate live so well, if you ever thought an album could be the party anthem you need for your summer then Talk Talk is it in a nutshell.

Light and breezy you’ll be dancing around your kitchen in your pantaloons, guaranteed! Tracks like ‘’The Hills’ & ’ Life In A Cinema’  & ‘Ease My Mind’ just resonate from the first beat to the very last and have you eating out of the palm of the lad’s hands.

There’s clearly growth here between their full-length debut and their latest offering and It will be great to watch these guys flourish and grow as they musical flex their muscles moving forward, and if you’re lucky enough you can say you got In on the ground floor with one of Australia’s finest exports.
