Unleashed from the bowels of Chile, Onslaught Kommand is releasing “Demo I”
A recent signing to the mighty Godz ov War Productions, Onslaught Kommand are pure primal blackened / war metal.
“Demo I” is just under thirteen minutes of pure hellish chaos.
Recorded & mastered in Abysm of Burning Corpses, Santiago de Chile, 2022.
“Carbonized at the Lynching Tree” is a great opening track.
The first thing you notice about Onslaught Kommand is the raw production. Adding a thick layer of distortion & thunderous boom to the band’s sound this release might only be a demo but it has that perfect dark & blackened death metal sound.
Cvnthvnt’s drumming on this album is ridiculous. At first listen I thought that the drums might have been a drum machine. They are that tight & precise. A heavy but punchy drum tone cuts through the heavy guitar tone produced by Necromancer & Behemoth. Both working together to write some chunky & thick guitar riffs.
“Backyard of Corpses” shows of Cvnthvnt’s thick drum tones before the band come in, a chugging bouncy riff starts before the band switch to a blasting section. The band site s Nunslaughter, Bestial Mockery, Blood, Pungent Stench, and old-school goregrind bands as influence and you can hear that throughout the demo.
Some bands blast from start to finish but Onslaught Kommand keeps the song writing dynamic enough to keep each track different & stand out from the rest!
The last track “Inferno Portal Aggressors” might only be 2 minutes long but it’s the best on the demo. A little more stripped back & pushing the black metal sound more this track is sheer terror incarnate. It also shows off bassist SplatterHate heavy & ballsy bass tone that punches above the guitars & sits really nice with the drums to reinforce a great attacking sound.
This might only be Onslaught Kommand’s first demo but it shows a ton of promise. I only wish there was more which isn’t a bad thing!
Six tracks of sick & ungodly gore infused war metal & I can’t wait to see what comes from the band next!
