Today, Pittsburgh deathcore unit SIGNS OF THE SWARM and genre-bending metal powerhouse VEIL OF MAYA have announced a co-headline UK and EU tour, presented by Pins and Knuckles. The Faces of Death Tour will take the duo from Southampton and Manchester, to Glasgow and Bristol, finishing up in London and Birmingham.

“We’re pumped to do a proper co-headlining tour in Europe and the UK after summer 2023’s awesome co-headlining mainland shows between festivals with Humanity’s Last Breath and our UK headliners with Mental Cruelty and Harbinger. We’ve all listened to Veil of Maya for AGES, so to be billed beside them is an honour! Varials are a fellow Pennsylvania band, so we’ve been pals for quite a while and their moshy metalcore is going to be a nice complement to all the deathcore. To the Grave ripped North America with us and Carnifex, then after that lineup finished they joined us up the west coast and across Canada, so it’s going to be great to conquer another part of the world with them. This tour is truly stacked, and we’re excited to add another side to the already-iconic Faces of Death brand!”

Produced by Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, King 810, Tallah, Varials), SIGNS OF THE SWARM‘s latest full-length offering, Amongst the Low & Empty, is the first SIGNS OF THE SWARM album to feature an outside producer. Massive, unapologetic and unrelenting in its assault, this fifth full-length keeps listeners on the edge of their seat. Songs like the title track, ‘Pray For Death’ and ‘Malady’ put to shame the slamming ‘br00tality’ of sophomore LP The Disfigurement of Existence, with vocalist David Simonich’s animalistic growls and screeches outdoing any swarm, pack, or otherwise, found in the wild. Despite the savage brutality, the leader of this herd IS the structure that is simultaneously more rigid yet more explorative, complete with a catchy groove underneath – the likes of which hasn’t been heard from SIGNS OF THE SWARM. It’s the bedrock that allows ‘Tower of Torsos’, ‘DREAMKILLER’ and ‘Pray For Death’ to be as catchy as they are.
