Today, experimental metal band See You Next Tuesday releases Relapses, on Good Fight Music. The record is an electronic-forward re-edit of the band’s 2023 album Distractions, spearheaded by See You Next Tuesday multi-instrumentalist and producer Drew Slavik. To celebrate the release, the band has shared a short film for “Desired Departure,” a track created by Rasmus & Ketil G. Sejersen of industrial / electronic act John Cxnnor using elements of “Day in the Life of a Fool.” The video was directed and edited by Moses Demartino with cinematography by Tony Coon, and depicts a twisted, bloody tale. Inspired by Fear Factory’s 1997 remix album Remanufacture, the songs on Relapses use components of the songs from Distractions to create an original record. You’ll hear See You Next Tuesday’s blend of experimental metal and grindcore, combined with industrial, electronic, and avant-garde noise. For the album, the band worked with a number of artists on creating the tracks, including Thotcrime, ZOMBIESHARK!, Black Magnet, Child of Night, and more. “Repeating Patterns” features Kyle Medina of Bodysnatcher and “The Sweetest Pot” features Rich Lombardi of The Sawtooth Grin. The final track on the record, “The Gold Room,” is a totally new creation, made with metal/mathcore band Frontierer. Relapses is available on vinyl now through Good Fight Music and can be streamed HERE. See You Next Tuesday will head out in April on U.S. headline tour, kicking off April 19th in Pontiac, MI.
