LØLØ releases new single ‘2 of us’

Canadian rocker LØLØ has welcomed the new year with “2 of us.” Inspired by her struggle to cut off a toxic ex, the tenacious and poppy track pairs thrashing percussion and buzzing electric guitars with LØLØ’s signature resonant alto.

Relentlessly clever and unflinching, LØLØ is in rare form with her scathing lyricism as she sings “You still wear skinny jeans / and that should have been my first sign / that you can’t let go of the past so / why should I be surprised / that you’re still texting your ex.” As the track builds to a frenetic conclusion, LØLØ admits that it takes two to tango and accepts full accountability for her role in the drama singing “I must be stupid, I must be dumb / guess that makes 2 of us.”

LØLØ says of the track: “I wrote ‘2 of us’ at a time where I felt very dumb. I couldn’t shake someone who was terrible for me. I thought they were being so thoughtless and stupid, but then I realised I was being just as stupid for even giving them the time of day. P.S. I’m sorry to my fellow emo’s who will be offended by the skinny jeans line…it was just a really good diss, okay?? I felt very sassy while writing this one, so a couple of the lines are pretty funny lol.”

“2 of us” follows LØLØ’s tender holiday season track “*snow in berlin*.” Filled with melancholy sweetness, “*snow in berlin*” is an ode to the naive hope that lingers in every unrequited love story, as LØLØ chronicles the dissolution of a sacred relationship gone bad.

LØLØ recently wrapped UK and Europe tour dates supporting Against The Current. In November she completed a 31-date North American tour with Boys Like Girls, State Champs, 3OH!3, The Summer Set, and Four Years Strong for a truly explosive pop-punk line up.

In the midst of the tour LØLØ shared the exhilarating single “faceplant.”  Packed with powerful guitar hooks, dynamic vocals, and witty, charismatic lyricism, “faceplant” is a perfect storm of all of LØLØ’s most exciting qualities. The rambunctious track effortlessly captures the visceral feeling of falling head over heels into new love.
