Norwegian post-punk collective Heave Blood & Die have just revealed another track off their fourth album “Burnout Codes”, which is set for release on January 26th via Fysisk Format.
Titled “Dog Days” the track has premiered at Idioteq, who commented “Heave Blood & Die, a name that resonates in the corridors of Norwegian high energy, modern post-punk with a distinctive echo.”

The band’s guitarist/singer and main songwriter Karl Pedersen had this say about the new track: “Dog Days portraits late nights in big concrete cities, filled with seemingly never ending anxiety. Aimless wandering in high intensity traffic. Fighting «the man» under strobing neon lights in a POV and resolution that resembles a brawl in “Punk Alley” from the Playstation classic Tekken 3.”
Dedicated to bassist Eivind Imingen, who decided to end his life just following the recordings of the album, “Burnout Codes” is shrouded in sadness and tragedy, and shows the Norwegian collective offering their most textured and innovative album to date.
Recorded and produced by Karl Løftingsmo Pedersen and Ariel Joshua Sivertsen (Ondt Blod, Die a Legend), mixed by Magnus Lindberg and featuring the artwork and design by Annika Linn Verdal Homme of Daufødt, “Burnout Codes” will be released on vinyl and digital on Fysisk Format.
