“[Ella Grace’s] bold album, Reverence, captures the artist’s melodic journey into a world of self-discovery and sexuality.” – Gay Times

“The London artist embodies an innovative bridge between the old school and the new age, having built an online community through a blog that sought to provide a safe space of self-expression and liberation for women.” – Notion

“Ella Grace has a delicate touch to her songwriting. Take new single ‘Pieces’. Exquisitely constructed, it unfolds with innate grace, the paused hush of her vocal seeming to emphasise each word.’ – Clash

Darker, more robust and at points far more emotionally piercing than what came before it, ‘War of Alchemy’, the new single from Ella Grace, encapsulates her battle with bi-polar disorder. Stream the new single here.

Produced by Ethan Johns, the industry legend behind early Kings of Leon, Crowded House, Laura Marling and Ray LaMontage, the track is Ella Grace’s favourite of her new songs “this song is so painful and redemptive for me. It sonically grounds the illness I’ve lived with for 18 years and I hope it can offer refuge for others struggling with mental health issues.”

Previously championed by Clash Magazine and Amy Lamé at 6music, Ella Grace is a London-based singer/songwriter straddling modern folk and rock citing influences such as Wolf Alice, Black Honey and Aldous Harding. She released a string of singles in 2020 before releasing her first album ‘Reverence’ in 2021, which explores themes of queerness and self-acceptance. She spent her early years privately writing and playing music in her childhood bedroom in London before then starting to share videos of her music, and her journey as an artist, online.

Within a few years, the singer-songwriter had built a dedicated audience of over 350k listeners, cemented by a sold out show at Paper Dress Vintage late last year. Taking a leap of faith, she dropped out of university and sent her demos to an independent record label in Leeds. The result was a run of singles, culminating in ‘Wild Roads’, a whimsical folk anthem that became a runaway hit on streamers. The song has received over 3 million streams and featured in TV syncs for Fidelity Bank and Photobox. In 2021, she used the royalties from the single to record and self-release her 11-track debut album ‘Reverence’. It has been streamed over 12 million times, and received coverage in Wonderland, NOTION, Clash, GayTimes, and Diva Mag.
