MAY 22, 2026: Upcoming Edinburgh indie rockers Dubinski have today released their superb new single “Information Overload”, listen here. “Information Overload” finds the four Gaine brothers who make up Dubinski wrestling with a world that has moved from page to screen, from thoughtful engagement to endless scrolling feeds. Blending sharp alt-rock urgency with biting social commentary, the track explores data mining, digital burnout and the cost of algorithmic control. With a driving hook—“get wet, get paid, get upset again”—the band capture the tension between art and monetization, connection and isolation, asking what happens when music, memory and meaning become just more code. The video for “Information Overload” has been created using hand-drawn artwork by bassist Donal. With nods to the felt-tip naturalism of the legendary animator Bob Godfrey (Roobarb and Custard, Henry’s Cat) and Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head), the video captures the frustration of digital algorithms determining the fate of modern musicians. |
