INDOMINUS “Black Lake” OUT NOW!

Rock ‘N’ Load got an early spin of this track way back at the start of the year – Here was our thoughts:
This month, hardcore death metal-infused band INDOMINUS drop their new single ‘Blacklake’, and I was fortunate enough to get an early spin … “Holy shit, Indominus’ latest track, ‘Blacklake’ is a knuckledragging muthafucka of a track, unlike anything I’ve heard from the band to date. This one is brutal, with a sound so heavy you can feel the weight of the heft pushing you down with every crushing riff, the slamming back line, and guttural growls make you feel like you need to rip out your insides to release yourself from this relentless punishment. 2026 has already been a shit show, and we’re not even 2 weeks in. Are you ready for more? Can you handle it? How much pain can you take? cos this one hits hard.” – Mark

Belfast, Northern Ireland – Rising deathcore force INDOMINUS return with a vengeance on their latest single “Black Lake,” set for release on May 30th, 2026.
Delivering a savage blend of deathcore and death metal, the track marks a defining moment for the band as they continue to evolve into a heavier, more aggressive, and uncompromising unit.
Formed in early 2016, INDOMINUS hit the ground running, signing with Roxx Records to release their debut EP Legion Within later that year. Since then, they’ve built a reputation on sheer intensity, releasing multiple singles and bringing their punishing live show to both local stages and international festivals. The band has shared the stage with heavy hitters like Suffocation, Marduk, Vader, and Misery Index, proving they belong in the same arena. “Black Lake” represents a clear shift in direction, leaning into a darker and more emotionally driven sound while maintaining the band’s signature brutality. It’s not just heavy for the sake of it, there’s weight behind every note.
The band states: “We are excited for you to listen to our latest single release ‘Black Lake’. This single is a simple statement: We are here, and we are pissed off! ‘Black Lake’ dives into the weight we all carry. The pressure, the burnout and stress we all go through. The lake becomes the place where fear and the darker parts of life try to pull us under. This song is about confronting that pull, naming it, and refusing to drown.” Produced, mixed, and mastered by JSR Audio, the single captures both the raw aggression and clarity needed to drive its message home.
