Formed in Visalia, California, For The Record is a 6-piece ska/punk band, delivering an engaging, energetic, and horn-fueled sound; a melting pot of expression and enthusiasm.

The band’s accessible and high-octane tunes take influence from the likes of Streetlight ManifestoLess Than Jake and Reel Big Fish, with 2019 EP ‘The Mess They Call My 20’s’ supplying a rousing celebration of horns and high-tempo pop-punk.

For The Record’s high-energy live show has become a staple of their identity and something that sits at the core of everything they do; indeed the energy present during their set is something the band has transferred almost seamlessly to the album, since the release of 2010’s ‘Still The Same’.

The Cali crew’s first new music since the onset of the pandemic sees For The Record return with another batch of honest and approachable pop-punk. ‘Fake It Till You Make It’ tackles issues of mental health, with the poignant lyrical content set against a backdrop of vibrant and uplifting instrumentation, with Asa Wagoner’s captivating lead vocal driving the collection.
