ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL ARTWORK
So here we go, the first full band announcement from team ARCTANGENT Festival 2023 is here, and it is a thing of wonder. With over 50 bands announced, the ball is well and truly rolling on next years event.

To kick things off ATG has the UK festival exclusive of the mighty Deafheaven performing ‘Sunbather’ in full, the bands seminal, black metal modern classic from 2013. Joining them include black metal, baroque, experimental French band Igorrr (musician Gautier Serre), Norwegian experimental jazz post rock and fusion band Jaga Jazzist, Newcastle rock band Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Northern Irish instrumental rock band par excellence And So I Watch You From Afar and one of the most exciting, ambitious and heavy bands in the UK right now, the formidable Loathe.

Also announced today include Massachusetts legends Cave In, Chicago instrumental band Russian Circles, stoner doomy rockers Elder, Belgian 3 piece Brutus and post hardcore Washington band The Fall Of Troy.

Festival organiser James Scarlett, on this years line up –  “I think this is shaping up to be my favourite ever ATG line up. Obviously there are some returning heroes (hello Russian Circles & The Ocean), but I’m most excited about the bands who will be visiting Fernhill Farm for the first time. I’ve been chasing after Cave In and Elder for many years so they are getting me particularly excited. And did someone say Deafheaven playing a UK exclusive Sunbather set? Bring. It. On.”

The festival has already announced a handful of bands for the Wednesday (4 day ticket holders only have access to this day), which include Scalping and Conjurer. Look out for even more to come from ATG in the coming weeks and months. 2023 is shaping up to be the greatest ARCTANGENT so far.
