Montreal-based metallic hardcore band Cross Check blend introspective, emotional lyrics with shattering riffs and an intense live show that has made them a staple in the Quebec hardcore scene. The band debuted with their 2023 demo, followed by last year’s if you’re not afraid then why are you shaking EP, earning them spots opening for Comeback Kid, Mindforce, Incendiary, Converge and more. Now signed to Static Era Records, the band release the dual single “Wildfire / Full of Grace” out today. “Wildfire” channels rage through passion, delivering lyrics addressing the perils of the ongoing climate crisis along menacing chord progressions and eerie undertones. “Full of Grace” reels with splintering riffs, aggressive vocals and a pulverizing breakdown latching onto losing and finding your identity.

The single was recorded and mixed by Jordan Barillaro (NoFun Audio) at Mixart Studios with production assistance from Felix Crawford Legault, and mastering by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
