ILLUMINATI HOTTIES// POWER // ALBUM REVIEW

8

Illuminati Hotties, the project from musical mastermind and GRAMMY-winning producer and engineer Sarah Tudzin, is back with her new album POWER, to be released on Hopeless Records on 23rd August 2024.

Now I will be honest, I know nothing of Sarah and the project so I am walking into this one blind. I am pretty sure it wont kill me so I’ll be fine, Sarah clearly is a talented individual, Grammy Award-winning no less, no mean feat to say the least. Being a musician however is a totally different thing, simply because like any art form, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Last night for example I was at a local gig, KK’s Priest were in town, KK Dowling, Judas’ Priests infamous guitarist no less and in support a youthful British rock/metal band Tailgunner. Old-school Metal at its finest, A total contrast to what Sarah and Illuminati Hotties are throwing at me today, what we have here is a light and ethereal sounding vibe that is light and airy, feel good, colourful and vibrant. The perfect soundtrack for an L.A. kid in a topless Jeep rolling down the highway cruising around that glorious coastline.

Not what I was expecting at all, each song is perfectly delivered as Sarah has intended, you can’t help but just give in to its laid-back vibe, the perfect antidote to the chaos of the rat race and all it brings, Illuminati Hotties is a form of escapism, you can totally lose yourself in its easy on the ear, happy go lucky feel and leave everything behind for a little while at least. If you’re a fan of the likes of Beabadoobee and the likes you’ll appreciate the calm, free-flowing sound of Illuminati Hotties.

The 13 tracks will fly by, and before you know it you’ll have to return to adulting and getting shot done once again! But rest assured, Illuminati Hotties are going nowhere and you can go back and sample any time you want!

Illuminati Hotties ‘Power’ arrives this Friday, August 23rd and is a charming album from start to finish, Sarah has put all her experience into producing an album of real quality, with an individual sound and feel all her own.
