On May 2nd, fallfiftyfeet will release their blistering sophomore album Counterfeit Recollections. Across the album, the band have mastered the balance of hardened metalcore and melodic alternative into a unique and satisfying audible, as heard on singles “Running from the Sky,” “Purgatory Blues,” and “Counterfeit Recollections.” Today the band unleash another chaotic taste with “The Kingsport Curse.” The song is a cacophony of rhythmic grooves, pinch harmonics, and substantial breakdowns. A clear influence from bands like Every Time I Die and The Dillinger Escape Plan provides over the pissed off track, with Dave Wallace’s dense screams meeting James Becca’s twangy melodies.
On the lyrics, Becca proclaims:
“Just sort of a fuck you to the past, a fuck you to the government, a fuck you to anyone who holds you back from being yourself and growing.”

Across the twelve tracks on Counterfeit Recollections, fallfiftyfeet are unequivocally heavy and relentlessly authentic. Recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recordings and mastered by Kris Crummett, the songs impact with twisted riffs, intriguing samples, and a sense of urgency. The album is definitive for the band, expressing their distinctive take on modern metalcore. Guest appearances from 156/Silence, PRINCESS, and buriedbutstillbreathing nod to the community fallfiftyfeet has built through their do-it-yourself ethic. With the release of Counterfeit Recollections, 2025 is primed to be fallfiftyfeet’s biggest year yet.
