London based, Nottingham born grit pop artist Drew Thomas has today unveiled his brand-new single, I’m Sorry (You’re Lonely) – out now via Revanche Records. This dark and moody track acts as a defiant response to those who doubted or let Drew down. A cathartic anthem, shedding his usual restraint to deliver an unapologetic middle finger to his critics and reflecting his journey from being a people pleaser to finding his voice.

Speaking about his new single, Drew Thomas comments, “I’m Sorry (You’re Lonely) is backlash to people in my life that have doubted me or let me down. I have always been a ‘glass half-full’ type person when it comes to friends, work, my career and relationships but this song is about the moment it feels like all of that snaps – a build up of pressure and energy. The lyrics don’t have a natural resolve and it’s like you’re stuck in a cycle of people letting you down, negatively critiquing you that you can’t get out of. It’s the darkest I’ve gone lyrically and my heaviest offering sonically to date.”

Continuing to sharing his musical revival, I’m Sorry (You’re Lonely) follows the release of Drew Thomas’ recently single You, Me & Desire – a track, that explores his discomfort with sexuality and lust during his teenage years and was celebrated with two packed out release shows in London and Nottingham.

Both new singles spark a new era for Drew Thomas as he shares his unique blend of grit pop, indie rock and high-energy alt-pop. With a knack for crafting arena-sized choruses and emotionally resonant, nostalgic lyrics, Drew spins tales of rejection, broken relationships, and addiction with cathartic storytelling.

His discography showcases his evolving artistry. His releases include Soho (2019), Early Hours EP (2020), Daybreak EP (2022), and Meridian EP (2023). Among his standout tracks, “Twenties” (2023) was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday in the Netherlands and Belgium, while “Lying on the Concrete” (2021) was a partnership with the mental health charity To Write Love On Her Arms.

He has performed at prominent festivals including Reading & Leeds, Great Escape, Y Not, Dot to Dot  and Future Echoes (Sweden) and has garnered substantial media and industry support having been featured and premiered by outlets such as EarMilk, Clout, God Is In The TV, Atwood, Metal, 1883, and the Daily Express.
