Produced by Aleks von Korff (Muse, Coldplay, U2), “Medicine Man” is a hard-hitting rock and roll banger, recorded at Red Room Studio, the home studio of Muse’s Matt Bellamy. The rising guitarist and vocalist co-wrote the bold track with Richard Foley, Trick Savage, and Kayley Hill. “‘Medicine Man’ is a guitar riff driven hard rock song that pulls from influences like Led Zeppelin, Dio, and Muse,” shares Jasper. “It was recorded inside the band Muse’s personal studio. You can really hear their influence on the song sonically…probably because we used all of their gear, haha! But real talk, I wanted a song on my next album that embodies the spirit of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll and that’s ‘Medicine Man.’” Cody Jasper has been setting new standards in the music industry since his official debut in 2014. Influenced by icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Otis Redding, Sly Stone, and Waylon Jennings, Jasper consistently pushes the boundaries of music, launching hot mixes of southern-infused rock with flaming outlaw country and blues & soul twists.
