Alluring heavy metal road warriors, SILK SPINSTER, charge forward with their self-titled debut EP, which arrives on Friday 1st August. The post-apocalyptic metallers will also reveal their engrossing new single and video, Rockstar, on Friday 30th May.
Hailing from Kingston Upon Hull, England, SILK SPINSTER originally announced themselves in 2021. Ever since then, the theatrical metal crew have made their powerful presence felt throughout the UK. Their stunning recent performance at this year’s Call of the Wild Festival exemplified the wasteland riff slinger’s growing appeal and fanbase. The band’s steady upward trajectory has been aided by many things, including a series of immersing live shows at numerous Motorcycle clubs throughout the country, wooing audiences at the RAF airbase in East Yorkshire, playing Bloodstock’s Metal2TheMasses (where the quartet made it to the final), and undertaking a number of shows with many national and international touring artists such as: Victorious, Mother Vulture, Liberty Slaves, and Contortion (USA).
In pulling influence from 80’s masters such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and drawing from contemporary icons like Ghost and Slipknot, SILK SPINSTER fuse the theatrics and absorbing visuals of Mad Max and Friday the 13th movies with a powerful musical delivery. Their striking stage show, which needs to be experienced and seen to be fully appreciated, has been lapped up by followers and plaudits alike.
SILK SPINSTER are destined to climb further with their superb debut self-titled EP. The band comment about the release: “This EP has been many years in the making. From being written in a bedroom to being performed in front of innumerable people, these tracks have taken on a life of their own and each tell their own stories. From crazy nights, to the slaying of monsters and lost love, it has it all”. The UK metallers have further content in the pipeline, and a series of shows planned throughout the land.
