Red Dirt Country Singer-Songwriter Wade Bowen, who recently won Texas Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2024 T3R Awards for the second year in a row, releases his new album, Flyin, on Friday, May 10th via Thirty Tigers. The 12-track record features a curated track listing of diverse songs ranging from old fashioned honky-tonk country to gut-wrenching ballads, classic rock and even a love song to Texas that highlights how his home state shaped who he is today. Flyin is available for pre-order now through the link HERE.

As the second project that Bowen has produced fully himself, Flyin came together over the course of a year and provides listeners with an unexpected array of songs that will keep them on their toes and take them through a unique, musical journey. With this album, Bowen was able to explore the individuality of each song and take a deep dive into his creativity through songwriting and storytelling.

“More than ever, people need to hear songwriters talk about their lives,” Bowen said. “We don’t always have to search for monster hits. We can just write about our lives and maybe that might actually work. That’s what this record is a lot of. A lot of massive songs, but also a lot of me just writing authentically and honestly about my life.”

Flyin will be Bowen’s tenth studio album, and it marks the next phase of his career, stating “I feel like I’m flying into this chapter where I’m the best version of myself that I’ve ever been. Y’all better catch up or you’re getting left behind. I’m on fire!”

Bowen has released two singles from the new album so far:

“Rainin On Me,” with an accompanying music video; listen to the new track HERE and check out the official music video HERE. Written alongside good friend Randy Montana, “Rainin on Me” is an up-tempo, Eagles-inspired track that takes Bowen back to the music he listened to growing up. The video brings the lyrics to life from Bowen embracing complete sadness in the rain to drowning his sorrows in a bar and contemplating while driving down the Texas roads.

“Mary Jane” – stream/download HERE. Alongside the release, Bowen also debuted an acoustic performance video of the new track where fans can see the raw emotion felt throughout the song; watch HERE.

Written by singer-songwriters Chase Bryant and Jon Randall, “Mary Jane” kicks off with the sounds of an acoustic guitar as Bowen’s distinctive vocals begin serenading listeners. The poetic track opens with, “You were always way too pretty for this town. A little too good to be hanging around on this side of the tracks. Are you lost, are you lonely?” setting the starry-eyed tone for the remainder of the song.

It’s just so simple, yet so beautiful,” Bowen recently said in a PEOPLE.com interview. “Sometimes the simple songs really turned out to be the best ones. When I heard it, I really believed that this just might be one of those that can really catch on fire… and really be a home run…

About Wade Bowen: Two decades and more than 4,000 shows into his career, Wade Bowen has become synonymous with country music, songwriting, and captivating live performances, and for good reason. An artistic descendant of American icons like Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen and more, Bowen is an important voice in a legacy of Texas troubadours stretching back more than 50 years. Texas Radio agrees, as he scored Male Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year at the 2023 T3R Awards, along with a #1 hit for his foot-stomping, signature country-rock single “Honky Tonk Roll.”

Revered as one of the genre’s finest and most authentic modern voices, Bowen’s approach is rooted in tradition, but also stands on the creative cutting edge. His focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality and shifting his sonic territory to match his life. More than a dozen albums have shown his musical diversity – including nine studio sets, four live collections, and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan, Randy Rogers. On May 10th, the singer-songwriter will release his tenth studio album, Flyin, showcasing his diverse musical range and hard-hitting songwriting, as well as a cast of respected features that add unique elements throughout. Bowen has already released the first single from the album titled “Rainin on Me,” which has an up-tempo Eagles-inspired sound and reminds Bowen of the type of music he listened to growing up.

Bowen continues to perform more than 200 dates a year across the U.S., solidifying his dedication to connecting with fans through his live performances. There is no slowing down for the road warrior either, with a steady stream of festivals and tour dates lined up for 2024, including a special run in his hometown of New Braunfels, TX alongside long-time friend and collaborator, Miranda Lambert.

A philanthropist at heart, Bowen founded the Bowen Family Foundation, which has helped children and families in and around central Texas by raising more than $6 million for beneficiaries including March of Dimes Waco, CASA of McLennan and Hill Counties, City of West Disaster Relief, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco, Inspiración, The Mentoring Alliance, and more.
