HUMAN TOUCH IS FOREVER EP / OUT NOW

FEATURING ANTHEMIC NEW TRACK SLEEPING ALONE

LISTEN HERE

Gigantic, dance-infused indie; let those pints fly …” DORK

Euphoric …” GIGSLUTZ

New indie dance juggernauts BIG IMAGE mark a new era for the band, and the Birmingham scene, with the release of their new HUMAN TOUCH IS FOREVER EP.

With the EP comes an atmospheric new cut Sleeping Alone, which sees the four piece close the project with a heartfelt and introspective song, coming off the back of three euphoric indie dance bangers and previous singles Parallel Love Affair, Crazier and Something.

Summing up the project, singer George Johnson says: “Human Touch Is Forever defines an era for us. It’s everything we’ve worked towards in the last two years and we’re insanely proud of it. It’s the closest we’ve got to the sound we’ve always wanted, and we can’t wait for the world to finally hear it. Big Image is about to launch into the stratosphere!

HUMAN TOUCH IS FOREVER is a significant milestone for the Kidderminster group after relaunching the project with a renewed focus and refined sound at the end of 2021. They’ve already picked up plenty of press and radio support – including being playlisted on Radio X – as well as being featured on BT Sport’s coverage of the Champions League and Sky Sport’s Soccer AM, performing a live video at Villa Park, and being enlisted for a brand campaign with Scott’s Menswear alongside Sam Fender. They now look ahead to doing what they do best on stage.

On Wednesday 4 May BIG IMAGE play their first headline London show at Sebright Arms before a colossal hometown show at Space 54 Forum in Birmingham on Saturday 7 May. From there they hit the summer with spots at Sonic Wave in Birmingham and Community Festival at London Finsbury Park alongside Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats and Circa Waves.

On top of this, Aston Villa have announced that the band will be back at Villa Park on Saturday 30 April playing the EP live in the Fanzone Pre-Match show at 2pm.

BIG IMAGE – George, vocals; Luke, bass; Connor, guitar; and Seb, drums – combine the reverb-drenched piano of house, the propulsive breakbeats of drum and bass, and the bubbling buoyancy of baggy to create a cocktail sound that is entirely theirs. The band were previously known under the name IVORY WAVE and have already built a considerable live following through festival appearances and support slots with the likes of DMA’S, The Sherlocks and The Twang. The sudden pause in touring last year led to an opportunity to refocus, rebrand, and hone their sound into something altogether more ambitious for this year and beyond. With their debut EP on the horizon and an album in the pipeline, BIG IMAGE is ready to reach anyone and everyone with an exciting array of unifying Saturday night anthems.
