A sonically amorphous cut of textured, distorted alternative music, ‘The Door’ calls to mind the twisted sounds of the late 90s and early 00s, where spiritual soulfulness collided with merciless devastation at will. Rather than using these disparate elements to emphasis juxtaposition, ‘The Door’ blends them expertly; finding beauty within the extreme and vice versa, complete with elasticated, ominously measured guitar riffs and a percussive line that really anchors the track while holding space.
