Based out of Schweinfurt, Germany THIN ICE are creating uncompromising hardcore that hits hard and direct. Formed in 2019, the band released their first EP, Keep It Alive, in 2021 followed by album A Matter Of Time in 2024, supported by shows in Europe and Indonesia. Focused on keeping things moving, Thin Ice will release their next EP, Happiness Ain’t Meant For All, on May 8th. The five tracks draw from bands like Terror, Madball, and Incendiary, packed with plenty of riffs and defiant lyrics.
Today, Thin Ice share single and title track “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All.” The song pulsates from the start as metallic riffs turn into speedy rhythms and culminate in a shattering breakdown. Robust vocals carry emotional weight delivering lyrics of false hope. Stream it HERE.
On the track, vocalist Simon Hereth shares:
“‘Happiness Ain’t Meant For All’ is about hoping for something and the pain when it doesn’t work out. It’s about reaching for love, joy, or fulfillment and feeling the disappointment when it slips away — I think a feeling anyone can relate to, whether it’s about love, loss, or just wanting something more.”
Happiness Ain’t Meant For All was recorded & produced by Jason Rowe and mixed and mastered by Justin Felder, Bastian Kühn and David Deutsch at 1408 Productions. The EP will be available on vinyl through Subculture For Life Records and on cassette through DITS Records.
