The video features Davide Straccione, vocalist of the doom metal band Shores of Null, as the central figure in its narrative. A long-time friend and collaborator of the band, Straccione previously appeared on Ponte Del Diavolo’s debut album Fire Blades from the Tomb, contributing vocals to their cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ “Weeping Song.”

The track distills the album’s venomous essence into a ritual of possession and metamorphosis; an invocation where decay, desire, and transcendence converge.

Driven by interlocking bass lines, ritual percussion, and the incantatory voice of Erba del Diavolo, the song captures the Italian ensemble’s trademark “blackened post-punk” sound. Dual basses grind and intertwine beneath sparse, corroded guitar phrases, while Segale Cornuta’s drums pulse with trance-like repetition and primal intensity. The presence of guest musician Francesco Bucci (Ottone Pesante) adds a spectral dimension through bursts of trombone.

Recorded live at The Deepest Sea in Turin and produced by Danilo Battocchio, the song preserves the tension and imperfection of PONTE DEL DIAVOLO’s live performances.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO craft a focused blend of doom, black metal, post‐punk, and wave—an aesthetic they call “blackened post‐punk.” Wave‐tinged female vocals anchor the project’s flaming core, supported by an uncommon dual‐bass setup that grounds the rhythmic guitars and a raw, dynamic drum pulse.

The result is an immersive, tension‐driven sound. Following the initial release of three EPs, the band signed to Season of Mist and unveiled their first full-length album, Fire Blades from the Tomb.

After two years on the road – appearing at leading European festivals such as Roadburn and Inferno in support of their debut – Ponte del Diavolo return with “De Venom Natura,” a record that extends and refines their musical boundaries.
