Bloodywood
The afternoon is truly setting in and it’s time for one of the most anticipated bands of the weekend to take to the stage. After being announced during last year’s festival both the crowd and us are eager to see Bloodywood perform! Having never seen these guys before, I wasn’t sure what to expect as a lonely drummer came on stage with a traditional indian drum. Starting off with a blend of rap, screaming and traditional Indian singing and heavy metal riffs in a mix that you wouldn’t think would work but amazingly does incredibly well. The rest of the set is heavily rap/metal inspired with twists of that Indian flair coming through every now and then.Having travelled all the way from New Delhi, it’s safe to say the excitement from the announcement was well worth the wait to see these guys and the band seem just as excited to be here. The energy of the band onstage is completely unmatched from anyone we’ve seen so far as they bounce all over the stage. Having pulled the biggest crowd of the day so far, it’s not long before the bodies surfing over the crowd can be seen while the rest go crazy over these guys. They also hold a good rapport with the crowd as they provide inspirational speeches and get the crowd singing along which can be heard throughout the arena. So far, these guys are an absolute stand-out band of the day!
