Kings of USBM, Wolves In The Throne Room have returned with sharpened teeth on their new album, Estuary, set for release on October 23, 2026 via Century Media Records outside the USA and Canada and Relapse Records in the USA and Canada.
Today, the band share the title track, “Estuary“, the second song to be revealed from the upcoming album of the same name. Accompanied by a music video produced by WITTR themselves, the video follows mythical figures moving through a landscape of decayed concrete, collapsed railroad tracks, and industrial ruins overgrown with brambles and ivy. The blue heron overlooks the estuary, where salt water and fresh water combine in an alchemy of renewal.
Nathan Weaver says: “If wilderness overcame the cities in the future, the estuaries would be realms of power and magic. Within the world-building of the album, the estuaries are key nexus points where magic has taken on physical form. Spirits, both good and evil, walk the earth.”

The band comments: “The record is set 1,000 years in the future. Survivors of a cataclysm wander the haunted ruins. It is a world of mutant creatures and open portals. Post-apocalyptic religion takes form in a wild landscape.”
Estuary is raw and volatile, infused with the storming sensuality of noisy industrial elements while unfolding through realms of warm rain, majestic forests, and diffused starlight. Massive percussion and seething gothic guitars wipe the listener’s psyche clear of stagnation, transforming them into active conduits of evolution.

Following acclaimed appearances at major European summer festivals including Hellfest, Graspop, Midgardsblot, Party.San, and Summer Breeze, Wolves In The Throne Room are set to open portals across the UK and Europe this fall on the Knights of Tiamat Tour, performing songs from Estuary before bringing the album to U.S. audiences in early 2027.
