UK extreme metal outfit Tyrannus are now streaming their second album Mournhold in full ahead of its official release this Friday, May 15 via True Cult Records. Emerging from the UK metal underground in 2018, Tyrannus established their identity through an attack of death-thrashing black metal on their debut album Unslayable, an approach that now finds sharper focus and refinement on Mournhold. A sophomore effort that builds on the foundations of their earlier work while pushing into something more deliberate and uncompromising, Mournhold expands the Tyrannus sound. Drawing from 80s thrash, atmospheric black metal, and elements of post-punk, the album moves across a broader sonic landscape while maintaining a clear and unified direction.
