Nashville, TN – Taylor Acorn has always had a gift for turning life’s biggest emotions into songs that feel instantly familiar. On her new single, “Isn’t It Strange,” featuring singer-songwriter Knox, the Nashville-based artist taps into that instinct once again, delivering a soaring, emotionally rich duet that finds wonder in the unexpected ways love has a habit of finding us. Arriving as the first preview of the deluxe edition of her sophomore album Poster Child, due 23rd October 2026 via Fearless Records, “Isn’t It Strange” pairs Acorn’s unmistakable powerhouse vocals with Knox’s effortless charm across shimmering guitars, warm acoustic textures, and an undeniably infectious melody. Built on vivid storytelling and a chorus destined to be sung back at full volume, the song blurs the lines between soaring pop, rock energy, and timeless singer-songwriter craftsmanship, showcasing yet another side of Acorn’s ever-evolving artistry. Written as a reflection on life’s improbable twists, “Isn’t It Strange” marvels at the invisible forces that bring people together. Rather than searching for answers, Acorn embraces the mystery, celebrating how heartbreak can unexpectedly lead to healing, how strangers become soulmates, and how the smallest moments can permanently alter the course of a life. Knox proves to be the perfect counterpart, matching Acorn’s warmth and sincerity throughout the track as the pair trade perspectives before joining together on one of the year’s most uplifting choruses. “I’m so excited for the world to finally hear ‘Isn’t It Strange!’ We wrote this song back while writing my album Poster Child early last year – we had already written a song that day and started messing around on the guitar and it just fell out so seamlessly”, shares Acorn. “When we were cutting vocals, Knox had the idea of throwing his on too just to see what would happen and it was truly like magic. We were all so stoked and have been praying it would eventually see the light of day. I love this song so much, we are so proud of it, and I hope everyone loves it as much as we do.” LISTEN HERE:
The release marks another milestone for Acorn, who has spent the last several years building one of music’s most engaged fan communities. After years of carving out her own lane independently, she amassed millions of followers across social media and last year signed with Fearless Records ahead of her sophomore album, Poster Child. Her ability to pair deeply personal songwriting with arena-sized hooks has earned her a rapidly growing fanbase that extends far beyond any one genre. Fresh off a European run supporting All Time Low, Acorn will continue bringing her magnetic live show to audiences this autumn, appearing at Ceremony Festival in Nashville on 17th October before joining State Champs for their U.S. headline tour beginning 5th November in Allentown, PA. That’s especially true for Taylor Acorn, who has made bold sacrifices in order to pursue her musical dreams. Acorn became interested in performing as a teenager living in Northern Pennsylvania where she started her first band and began performing as a solo artist. However her career breakthrough came when she relocated to Nashville in 2014 and connected with producer Dan Swank (All Time Low, Cassadee Pope) and the duo instantly bonded over their mutual love of early 2000s music. If Acorn’s 2024 full-length Survival In Motion was her introduction to the world, 2025’s Poster Child shows that she is here to stay—and it also marks the fact that she has signed with Fearless Records after nine years of releasing her music independently. “When people listen to this album I just want them to feel like they’re back in a time period that makes them feel good,” she says. That sense of optimism is evident from the infectious opener “People Pleaser” to the stripped-down outro of the album closer “Masquerade,” the latter of which showcases the way Acorn is able to effortlessly express both power and vulnerability with her voice, depending on the feeling that she is trying to articulate in the moment.
