LA grunge band Zephyring have announced a headline show at London’s Troubadour for June 10th 2026. The show will be the band’s first ever UK live performance and tickets are on sale now here.

The show follows the recent release of the band’s Steve Albini produced debut EP Hydraphantasy at the end of March via Grunge Pop Records. Listen here / download here.

Zephyring are resurrecting the Seattle 90s grunge sound, while also fusing punk, thrashing garage rock and raw indie rock. The trio – Taz (vocals, guitar), Billy (bass) and Eric (drums) – are busting out raw, distorted, four-chord epics, equal parts old school and new, as they carve their own distinct new wave of grunge music, riding a timeless rip while chopping up their own killer swell.

Hydraphantasy was recorded on analog tape in just two days with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Fugazi). Together they have created dynamic pop songs with a hardcore edge, replacing slickness for a gritty live feel and punk attitude playing like a melting pot of Nirvana, The Lemonheads, The Meat Puppets and Fugazi.

Regarding the creation of Hydraphantasy Taz says, “Steve Albini to me is one of the most important people ever to be involved in rock and roll. His sad and untimely death left a massive void in the music world. No one will ever get to make an album with him again. I witnessed a heated phone call between him and Bono of U2, where Bono literally was begging Steve to record their “rock comeback” album. That’ll never happen now. Nor for any other band. He epitomised integrity and art and was a voice for the real music loyalists. I put him on the same level of respect and admiration as I do Kurt Cobain and John Lennon and I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to have him grace my music.

There are many other songs apart from the Hydraphantasy EP that we did together, and I’ll do my best to honour his legacy with those unreleased recordings. Steve went out of his way to create a sound and environment for us so we could create something timeless and magical. We even got to use the drum set that Dave Grohl gave him as he said the sound would be perfect for us. He cared so much about making records. Rest in peace to my dear friend Steve Albini.”

30 years after grunge changed the face of music and culture forever, Zephyring have arrived to channel it’s raw unfiltered energy to reignite a passion for loud, distorted, underground rock.

Zephyring recently debuted songs from the new EP live at a searing set at LA’s legendary Viper Room, they now bring their heated energy to the UK for a special one-off show at The Troubadour in London on June 10th. It’s not one to be missed!
