Following a packed out summer including a BST support slot with Maroon 5, Scottish singer-songwriter Pat Hamilton releases his new single ‘Colorado’ on August 28th.

His latest offering is a stripped-back, guitar-led track that turns a genuinely lived experience – falling for someone who was always going to leave- into something closer to peace than pain. With lyrical and melodic intricacy, the song traces his heartache as she returned home to Aspen, Colorado, and moved on into a new relationship. Rather than settling into the shape of a conventional heartbreak ballad, ‘Colorado’ sits with loss and longing from a place of quiet certainty, Hamilton sounds emotionally exposed yet resolved, making for a compelling and deeply human listen.

Hamilton on the track: “‘Colorado’ is characterised by reflective honesty. It tells a personal story of loss and longing for a former lover in a foreign land.”

‘Colorado’ follows Hamilton’s continued rise as one of Scotland’s most promising young artists. He has racked up multiple sold-out headline shows, opened the BBC Introducing Stage at TRNSMT at just 19 years old, and amassed over 1.4 million streams for his debut album, To Whom It May Concern.

Drawing influence from artists including Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake and Joshua Slone, Hamilton’s sound blends acoustic singer-songwriter foundations with pop, R&B and country influences. His lyrical intricacy and captivating melodies have earned him a devoted and fast-growing fanbase, alongside consistent support from national and international radio.

This summer alone has seen Hamilton open for Maroon 5 at BST Hyde Park and join Finn Forster on the road for his UK headline tour. Next, he’s the one headlining — Hamilton takes his own show across the UK and Ireland for the first time in September 2026.

‘Colorado’ arrives August 28th.
