LONDON, U.K. – (27 October, 2022) – Two-time ACM award-winning singer and performer, Tenille Townes, wrapped her month-long, twelve-show world tour on Tuesday at the Häkken in Hamburg, Germany. The critically-acclaimed international tour saw Townes playing in Australia at CMC Rocks, Ireland, the UK, Netherlands and Germany.

The European leg of the tour began at Workmans in Dublin, where Townes played an intimate acoustic set, and according to Lonesome Highway was “one of those shows where you knew that it was special to be in the room.”

Tenille then continued onto Belfast, where BRELAND joined her on stage for a special performance of their song ‘Shared Walls’ off her latest EP, Masquerades, with him sharing that he “can’t wait to do it in more countries. Northern Ireland was a success.”

The remainder of the UK dates – Glasgow, Bristol, London and Manchester – were all sold-out, but taking to her Instagram and TikTok, Townes shared the story of how the show almost didn’t go on when her tour manager/driver fell ill and was unable to drive her and her bandmates to the next city. However, as Tenille shared, “there are really good people in this world and people who are willing to be a friend and lend a helping hand” so in stepped Catalin Toma, a Romanian hotel chef in Penrith, who kindly dropped everything to take them to both Bristol and London.

Commenting on the international tour, Tenille said, “I’m so in awe of the incredible audiences I got to hang out with around this beautiful world… music truly is a universal language and it moved me to tears multiple times on this tour hearing people singing along to these songs in so many different places. It felt like we’re all neighbours. I love our community of music lovers and I can’t wait to keep travelling around this world and witnessing the way these songs keep bringing us together. I had the best time and it’s truly been a run of some of my favourite shows I’ve ever played.”

In September, Townes co-hosted the CCMA Awards where she also won Entertainer of the Year, Spotify Female Artist of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, Ford F-150 Album of the Year for Masquerades, Single of the Year for ‘Girl Who Didn’t Care,’ as well as Songwriter of the Year for ‘Girl Who Didn’t Care’ (with Steph Jones & David Pramik).

Following the Awards, Tenille dropped her first full-length concert film – available to view here, with set-opener ‘White Horse’ premiering on Holler. The hour-long film sees Townes performing the GOLD-certified, ‘Somebody’s Daughter’ and ‘Jersey On The Wall’ as well as her new songs such as ‘Light In Your Eyes,’ and ‘Same Road Home.’

Tenille, who most recently released her heartbreaking new single, ‘The Last Time,’ returns to the US and Canada this week to wrap up her ‘Same Road Home’ tour in November, before embarking on the ‘Side A and B’ tour in January. More info and tickets are available here.
