Hailing from Yonkers, NY, alternative rock crew For Lack of a Term blend a mixture of hook-laden choruses with driving guitars on their new EP, Through the Dog Years.

The band’s latest collection brings together a swell of influence from genre titans, the likes of Matchbook Romance and Jimmy Eat World, delivering a wave of nostalgia, crafted with a modern delivery.

Since 2019’s debut EP, Recalibrate For Lack of a Term have developed a small but loyal base of fans across the East Coast, playing a host of New York’s leading venues and impressing with a high-energy, high-quality live show.

The band continued their expressive songmanship on 2021 full-length Welcome To Your New Normal, with the record marrying emo intonations with cascading melodic rock, for a sound ripe with both honest and accessibility.

Having signed to Manic Kat Records in 2022, For Lack of a Term are back with the impressive Through The Dog Years, an album that deftly intertwines 00s Drive Thru Records vibes with a sharp and relatable iteration of modern alternative rock.
