Kezia Gill Releases Brand New Single ‘Like I Did Before’ Ahead Of 13-Date UK Headline Tour

Additional Tour Dates Added Due To Phenomenal Demand; 10 Already Sold Out

LONDON, UK. – (21st October, 2022) – Following an exclusive first play from Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2 yesterday (20/10), British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kezia Gill today releases brand new single ‘Like I Did Before’ – available to stream/download worldwide here.

Written by Gill with Kaity Rae, ‘Like I Did Before’ is the first new music to be shared from a forthcoming album, and marks an evolution in the rising star’s sound, bringing in sweeping, piano-led production while retaining the emotive storytelling that has been central to her success to date.

“This song is totally different from anything I’ve previously released” explains Gill. “It’s a song that I’m extremely proud to have co-written and I feel it displays a whole new side to me as an artist.”

Tomorrow (22/10), she joins a lineup of Nashville talent for a one-off Country Music Week Hub songwriter’s round at London’s Bush Hall, alongside Caitlyn SmithBrelandElvie Shane and Matt Stell. Next month, she will be kicking off her first ever UK headline tour, presented by AEG,  in her hometown of Derby. Due to phenomenal demand, with dates already sold out in London, Derby, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Weston-Super-Mare, Manchester and Brighton, Gill has added an additional date in Southampton, and limited tickets are still available in Cardiff and Dublin here.

“It’s been a dream for so many years to put on my own headline tour, and to see how well it’s been received and how many people are excited to see the show just fills my heart. I cannot wait to get out on the road” adds Gill.

British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kezia Gill has a completely unique sound, pulling influences from Folk & Irish, Country, Rock and Blues. She began writing music at the age of ten and has been singing professionally for over half her life, but 2019 became a breakout year for Kezia. Two years on from the release of her debut full-length album Kezia, she made her way to Nashville and performed at The Bluebird Cafe and the historic Ryman Auditorium, as well as playing numerous tour dates across the UK, Europe, and Australia, and being nominated for five BCMA awards, taking home the title of Best Female Artist.

Since then, she has had consistent support from BBC Radio 2; reached #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Charts (‘All Of Me’); opened several shows for Tony Hadley, and country stars The Shires and Eric Paslay on a 26-date national tour; and played multiple festival appearances including a headline set at Buckle & Boots, a writer’s round alongside Cam at Black Deer Festival, C2C at the O2 Arena, and joined Marty Stuart and The Superlatives on the main stage at The Long Road festival. To close out 2021, Kezia was also announced as a global Takamine Guitars artist, joining the roster with legends such as Garth Brooks, Bruce Springsteen and Blake Shelton.

Her latest EP, The Mess I Made (2021), is available to stream/download worldwide now, and her brand new single ‘Like I Did Before’ was released today (21st October). | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook | YouTube
