MAGNUS KARLSSON’S FREE FALL Hunt The Flame
The fourth Free Fall album sees Swedish mastermind Karlsson again assemble a killer cast to lend their voices to his solo musical vision, with stunning featured performances from renowned metal and hard rock vocalists Jakob Samuel (The Poodles), James Durbin (Durbin, Cleanbreak), Alexander Strandell (Art Nation, Crowne), Kristian Fyhr (Seventh Crystal, Ginevra), James Robledo (Sinner’s Blood, Demons Down), Michael Eriksen (Circus Maximus), Girish Pradhan (Girish And The Chronicles), Raphael Mendes (Icon Of Sin), Terje Haroy (Pryamaze, Mantric Momentum), Jake E (Cyhra), and Antti Railio (Celesty, Diecell, The Wildfire). Karlsson himself handles all instrumentation except drums.
Karlsson has also been integral to other successful Frontiers projects such as the Allen/Lande trilogy, two albums by its Allen/Olzon spin-off, plus records by Starbreaker, Bob Catley and Kiske/Somerville. In 2008, he joined German metal icons Primal Fear and has made several successful albums with them.

ARCHON ANGEL II
‘II’ is the follow-up to 2020’s debut album ‘Fallen’, which saw vocalist Zak Stevens (Circle II Circle, Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and producer/guitarist Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Edge Of Forever) offer up a fantastic slab of power/prog metal. The duo have honed in on all the key parts that worked so well before, amplifying and perfecting them for this glorious follow-up.
The seeds of Archon Angel were planted when Stevens and Lonobile were collaborating on songs for Timo Tolkki’s Avalon project. Having recorded demos reminiscent of classic late 80s/early 90s Savatage, they felt they were onto something, which ultimately culminated in ‘Fallen’. Stevens had initially come to prominence as lead vocalist for Savatage, a tenure that began with ‘Edge Of Thorns’ (1993) and would last for four albums. He has also performed on multiple releases by Trans-Siberian Orchestra releases and been a member of the band’s touring production. The early ’00’s saw him form Circle II Circle, who have issued seven albums, while he has also appeared on albums by the likes of Machines Of Grace and Jon Olivia’s Pain.

MECCA Everlasting
The first new album by the classic AOR/melodic rock outfit for seven years sees vocalist and founder member Joe Vana returning to the style he is known for, while it also sees his son Joey on co-lead vocals. The entry of Vana Sr. into music came via a chance encounter with Jim Peterik of Survivor when in his early teens, the iconic songwriter eventually employing him as his in-house demo singer. The duo subsequently started a band called Project Voyager, which ultimately morphed into Mecca and the 2002 release of a self-titled debut album. This was followed by ‘Undeniable’ (2011), which melded the hi-tech approach of Mr. Mister with the commercial nous of Toto, then ‘III” (2016), which introduced Vana Jr. on guitar. All three albums were reissued as the ’20 Years’ set released by Frontiers in early 2022.

ONE DESIRE Live With The Shadow Orchestra
This live concert extravaganza sees the prominent Finnish rock band performing with their compatriots Wasa Sinfonietta (The Shadow Orchestra), a symphony orchestra led by conductor Ville Mankkinen. “What makes this release special is that it is rather like watching a movie than just a regular live show,” states guitarist Jimmy Westerlund. “We really took the long road with this production.” Filmed in the Elisa Stadium in Vaasa (west coast of Finland) in the summer of 2022, it was first aired on Finnish TV in December and is now being made available across various audio and video formats.
With a powerful vocalist in André Linman who does full justice to a wide range of songs that boast catchy choruses and gargantuan guitar solos, One Desire have released the internationally acclaimed studio albums ‘One Desire’ and ‘Midnight Empire’ and are currently recording their third full-length record.
