TUK SMITH & THE RESTLESS HEARTS

REVEAL NEW SINGLE & VIDEO FOR

GIRLS ON THE EAST SIDE OF TOWN

DEBUT ALBUM BALLAD OF A MISSPENT YOUTH

ARRIVES TODAY 4th NOVEMBER VIA MRG

TUK SMITH & THE RESTLESS HEARTS have released a brand new single/video, GIRLS ON THE EAST SIDE OF TOWN, another track taken from their debut album, Ballad of A Misspent Youth, which arrives at DSPs today, November 4th via new label, MRG. Stream the album here.

The release from the Nashville band comes in the wake of the album’s lead single and title track which romped straight on to playlists at UK rock radio stations, Planet Rock and Primordial Radio, and the follow-up earworm single, Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead. Meanwhile, Classic Rock magazine assert “‘Ballad Of A Misspent Youth’ is never less than exhilarating. Just the way rock’n’roll should be.”

The former Biters frontman, Tuk Smith elaborates on the inspiration behind the new song:

“Inspired by true events…This song highlights the escapades of many a poor boy trying to gain entry into the hearts of those untamable East Side Girls.”

The album marks Tuk’s return to the studio with Biters producer Dan Dixon.

About Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts:

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts are a Nashville-based rock band founded and fronted by former Biters frontman and songwriter, Tuk Smith.

Growing up as an outsider in rural Georgia, Tuk found solace in hardcore punk acts like Black Flag and The Exploited.  From there, he branched out into exploring seventies New York bands like The Dead Boys and New York Dolls, which lead him across the Atlantic, where he embraced British groundbreakers like The Buzzcocks and The Clash. Soon, he was forming his own bands, touring relentlessly and building a following with his high-energy live shows, including his tour of duty as lead singer for Biters, who he fronted for nearly a decade, out of Atlanta, GA.

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts made their debut at the top of 2020 with the release of their first single, What Kinda Love. Before the pandemic hit and the slate was wiped clean, the band were due to open Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard’s impending US Stadium Tour. Now, Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts have found their way back and are ready to deliver rock and roll greatness to the masses once again. Their debut album, Ballad of a Misspent Youth, arrives on 4th November via MRG.
