Swedish AOR/Melodic Rock act Care of Night will release their third studio album via Frontiers on 17th November. Entitled ‘Reconnected’, a first single and video from it for the song ‘Street Runner’ are available from today.
“We are thrilled to finally be able to share new music with you,” state the band. “We have been working hard on these songs and think fans of our genre will be pleased with their variety. This album also marks a new start for Care of Night with our new line-up and record label, hence its title.” ‘Reconnected’ is indeed an absolute stormer that recreates classic ’80s melodic rock but with the addition of the band’s own modern touch; strong hooks and big arrangements with a progressive twist is the core of the band’s approach to their sound.
Formed in 2009, Care of Night released a four song EP in 2013 that made a big impact among the AOR fraternity. It was followed two years later by an acclaimed debut album, ‘Connected’, which saw them compared to the likes of Journey, FM and Toto, while a triumphant set at the 2015 edition of Rockingham cemented their international popularity. A second album, ‘Love Equals War’ (2018), was similarly enthusiastically received.
The group subsequently made some line-up changes and have re-emerged totally reinvigorated, tighter and stronger than ever and with a new album that is an absolute blast of melodies from start to finish.
