THE MANDRAKE PROJECT COMIC VOL.1 – OUT NOW

Bruce Dickinson has released his brand-new solo album, The Mandrake Project today. Featuring the singles ‘Afterglow of Ragnarok’ and ‘Rain On The Graves’ the ten-track collection is already receiving huge global acclaim, with rave reviews and front cover features running in publications all around the world.

Sonically heavy and rich in musical textures, the album sees Bruce bring to life a musical vision long-in-the-making. Created with co-writer and producer Roy Z, they have crafted one of the defining rock albums of 2024.

Supporting the release of the album in Europe Bruce is under-taking an instore signing run which started with a midnight opening in Wales on this St David’s Day at HMV Cardiff. He will also be appearing at HMV London this evening, with further events taking place over the next two days in Birmingham, Sheffield and Manchester.

Last weekend he attended pre-listening events & a pre-order signing session in two major Swedish cities and will return to mainland Europe for signings in France and Germany to complete the release week.

PRAISE FOR THE MANDRAKE PROJECT

“[His] voice still soars over grandiose metal, yet the music is darker and heavier than his work with Iron Maiden”
Daily Telegraph

“The wildly ambitious, mostly hard rock but genre-blurring The Mandrake Project”
The Sun (4/5)

“The Mandrake Project demands and rewards total absorption into its kaleidoscopic sound picture… Bruce’s extraordinary voice… has rarely sounded more assertive, upfront and in your face, urging his vocals to new levels of expressive emotion and dramatic control”
Metal Hammer (9/10)

“His most ambitious and best solo work to date… He sounds great, his voice properly doing the rounds through the narrative, as the beefy riffs – much more so than in Maiden – and gritty production add a layer of their own”
Kerrang (4/5)

“Epic… grandiose… infectious. Easily one of Bruce Dickinson’s boldest projects”
Classic Rock (4/5)

“Bruce creates a vivid world of magic and mayhem… a solo project worth investing in”
Daily Star (4/5)

“Spectacular solo outing… surely his most innovative and creative yet. Heavy but easily accessible”
Record Collector (4/5)

“Simply brilliant… we are already looking at one of rock and metal’s defining genre-crossing albums of 2024”
Powerplay (10/10)

“Its themes are plainly evident in the earworm metal of ‘Many Doors To Hell’ and gothic menace of ‘Fingers In The Wounds’, although more subdued (but equally sombre) hues inform the portentous, piano-led power ballad ‘Shadow Of The Gods’
Uncut

“A titanic and resonating piece of work”
Metal Talk

“This is highly atmospheric metal, full of muted guitars and shaded melodies with Bruce sounding absolutely phenomenal”
Fistful Of Metal (9/10)
