“up-and-at-‘em alt-rock given a seventies and eighties gloss. It worked on their earlier releases and it works here as they combine stadium-like choruses with soaring melodies, and synths with punky guitar work and witty lyrics. Rumbustious stuff.” THE CRACK
“Filled with undeniably massive hooks and bouncy accompaniments” THE MOST RADICALIST
“Bandaid Brigade are ticking all the boxes right now….The drums are relentless, the riffs are addictive. Bring on the album!” THE RODEO MAG
West Coast four-piece – BANDAID BRIGADE – have released a new video for: “Abacus”.
With their sensational second album ‘Sex Is Terrifying’ now out in the wild, the four-piece are putting the spotlight back on one of its finest moments with a humorous and hair-raising new clip.
Directed by Derek Zimmer and premiered by New Noise Magazine, the “Abacus” video finds Bandaid Brigade’s Zach Quinn, Brian Wahlstrom and Erich Goodyear getting into a close shave at the hands of the Hair USA salon in Metairie, Louisiana. Shot on Kodak 16mm film, the visuals perfectly echo the vintage feel that ripples through their current single – with the band emerging from the shoot with a new-look as sharp as the Yacht Punk sound they call their own.
Following a whistlestop tour of the UK, the new video arrives as Bandaid Brigade now prepare to take-on Europe this Autumn. With shows with Skinny Lister in Germany and Switzerland, the band will also be making an appearance at Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings. Remaining dates are as follows:

Fronted by musicians and collaborators Zach Quinn (PEARS) and Brian Wahlstrom (Scorpios, Gods of Mount Olympus), this band of unlikely lads come together to produce a second album packed with powerful choruses and soaring melodies that Bandaid Brigade have proudly patented “Yacht Punk”.
A record that pays homage to all of the music that both Quinn and Wahlstrom personally enjoy from Billy Joel to Bob Mould, while still staying true to their punkier roots; ‘Sex Is Terrifying’ was recorded at High Tower Studios by James Whitten and mixed at The Blasting Room by Chris Beeble.
An intentional long-player that builds on the Seventies and Eighties-inspired foundations of the band’s first album, ‘I’m Separate’, but also digs deep in search of its own specific sound, ‘Sex Is Terrifying’ is a glorious mix of the band’s heritage with a number of surprises thrown in for good measure.
