Since 2021, Oxnard, CA based TORENA have been releasing a punishing, riff fueled take on metallic hardcore. In 2024 the band released their latest album No Control and since then have toured across North America, Europe, and Asia alongside bands such as Sunami, Dead Heat, and Ingrown. Today, TORENA surprise release the three song EXTINCTION EP out through DAZE. The tracks stand as their darkest and heaviest yet, pushing more contrasting dynamics built on pulverizing riffs and intense drums. The walls of sound envelope furious lyrics, taking aim at betrayal and the current state of the world. The EP was recorded by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio, who also lends his pipes on closing track “NOTHING BUT REVENGE,” and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.
