A little over a year and a half after the release of his first full-length “Evil Blues”, Portuguese eccentric and avantgarde metal project Hoofmark now returns with a second album titled “Blood Red Lullabies”, consolidating his signature organic sound, an eerie and enthralling amalgam of metal, rock and blues that Hoofmark perfectly dubs as evil blues. Set for release on November 30th via Raging Planet Records, “Blood Red Lullabies” was produced and mastered by Towkuhsh Razamod at ERRE Studios and features the participation of El Vaquero Ungulado on vocals and guitar, Towkuhsh Razamod on bass, harmonica, accordion, and guitar (Solo on “Azuis & Vermelhidão”) and piano “All About Our Family (Ella Está Muerta)”, Andrecadente on acoustic drums and percussion, André Hencleeday on piano and Jorge Silva on flute. The short distance that separates the two albums reveal a sudden call for new music and throughout the eight tracks, “Blood Red Lullabies” captures different tonalities of the music, sometimes in its most “extreme” form, sometimes in its most subtle way. Pre-orders will be announced soon. Meanwhile, listen to leading single “A clapalong” at this location. |
