Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze has released his new song “Love Like This” via Universal Music Japan/Republic Records – listen here.

The track showcases Kaze’s smooth vocals over a warm, gentle melody and is the latest preview of his upcoming third studio album Prema, out September 5th – pre-order/pre-save the album here. The official music video, directed by Aerin Moreno (Tate McRae, LISA, Maroon 5), explores the complexities of love — watch here.

Reflecting on the song, Kaze Fujii shares, “What is the purest form of love? And the supreme bliss it brings? I guess I don’t know it yet, but in this song, I pretended I did.”

“Love Like This” arrives on the heels of Kaze’s triumphant sold-out European tour, with stops in Berlin, Paris, and London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. He also debuted at major international festivals including Roskilde (Denmark), NN North Sea Jazz (Netherlands), and Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), further cementing his global rise.

Earlier this summer, Kaze made his highly anticipated return with powerful lead single “Hachikō,” his first new music in three years since his acclaimed sophomore album LOVE ALL SERVE ALL. The new release sparked global buzz after over 10,000 fans attended a surprise pop-up event in Bangkok. Watch the “Hachikō” music video here.

The official CD and vinyl pack shots for Prema have been unveiled and are available for purchase here.

Cook-produced “Hana,” and the fan-favorite “Feelin’ Go(o)d,” plus one brand-new, unreleased song: “It’s Alright.” This edition also includes an exclusive double-sided poster, making it a must-have collector’s item.

About Fujii Kaze:
With an open mind, heart, and soul, Fujii Kaze lets music take control. He faithfully follows its lead, singing, writing, and performing with the utmost respect for his artistry. As such, he treats his songs with care. He doesn’t turn away from inspiration or cloud its purity. Instead, he allows it to guide him. That’s why the Japanese singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has emerged as an arena-filling phenomenon with billions of streams and views. Following a deep music influence from his father, Kaze began uploading piano covers of popular songs on YouTube as early as 12 years old, which eventually caught the music industry’s attention and led him to make a label deal.

From humble beginnings in a small countryside town in Japan to moving to Tokyo pursuing his dreams, in May 2020 Kaze released his full-length debut LP, HELP EVER HURT NEVER, with a message not to hurt anyone but just help, while the world was right in the middle of the pandemic. Yielding smashes such as “何なん (Nan-Nan)” and the signature gold-certified “Shinunoga E-Wa,” which dominated TikTok and generated a staggering 693.2 million Spotify streams, the album went No.1 on Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart.

In 2021, his single “きらり (Kirari)” soundtracked a popular Honda Commercial, paving the way for his sophomore album LOVE ALL SERVE ALL [2022] and reeling in 287.1 million Spotify streams and 151.3 million YouTube views, as well as another No.1 album. In its wake, he packed venues throughout Asia, including “the third-largest arena in the world” Saitama Super Arena. In October 2022, he held a stadium show “LOVE ALL SERVE ALL STADIUM LIVE” at Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka, this time in front of a live audience and completely sold out at 70,000-capacity. The show is now available on Netflix globally. In 2023, Fujii Kaze held 7-city, 11-show tour of Asia, with all shows sold out.

In 2024, he shined with a showstopping NPR “Tiny Desk” performance which garnered over 19 million views, and incited the applause of Billboard and more. Kaze also contributed “Michi Teyu Ku (Overflowing)” to the Japanese film April She Will Come, touring the U.S. for the first time performing solo piano shows in New York and Los Angeles, and signing to Republic Records. In August, he held a one-man live concert at Nissan Stadium that drew 140,000 people over two days.

After releasing a series of singles in 2024 including the A.G. Cook-produced track “Feelin’ Go(o)d”, Kaze takes flight higher than ever before as he gears up to tour the U.S. again and release new music this year.
