“Part lament and part post-rock apocalypse, ‘I Still Think Of You’ is a stunning song,  and in a world where it’s rare for a track to go over three and half minutes,
it is great to hear music on this epic scale and length.”

+  HEADLINE UK TOUR IN MARCH

January 30th, 2025: EEVAH have announced their new EP ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’ – available May 22nd – and released the lead single “I Still Think Of You”The upcoming Halifax-based trio will support the EP with a headline tour in March.

Comprised of Nicole Hope Smith (vocals, bass), Fay Clayton (drums), and Embrace guitarist Richard McNamara, EEVAH combine the moody atmospherics of The National, Wolf Alice, and The XX with the shimmering indie pop energy of HAIM and London Grammar. Previous singles  have received plays from BBC 6Music and BBC Radio 1, while EEVAH have supported Everything Everything, Duran Duran, and We Are Scientists, and last year undertook their debut headline tour.

Produced and engineered by McNamara at Magnetic North Studios in Halifax, “I Still Think Of You” was written in a cloud of grief following the passing of Nicole’s Grandmother. Her haunted, emotional vocal is enveloped by Richard’s expressive, chiming guitars, reminiscent of The Edge during U2’s late 80’s prime.

“Nicole was trying to connect with memories of conflict surrounding a family illness, guilt in the face of death and just wanting it all to be over,” explains Richard. “Sonically, I was trying to craft some post-rock apocalypse out of opposing guitar and piano and drum rhythms. It’s a conflict and It sounds huge but somehow incomplete… until Nicole comes in with a beautiful lament about memories of carrying her Gran coming out of the hospital.”

As they continue to evolve, EEVAH are creating music that bridges the gap between introspective lyricism and infectious, stadium-sized anthems. The DIY ethos has always been a core part of their identity and since their first headline tour in April 2024, they have continued to release music each month through Patreon, where EEVAH have created a space to document their journey and spend time with their fans.
