Northern Ireland’s viral sensation Gareth will be embarking on his debut European headline tour next week. The Beyond The Backyard Tour will see him performing in Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam, Hamburg Stockholm and Oslo. Gareth, who made the move to Nashville this year and inked a publishing deal with BMG, has been releasing a string of original songs recently – the latest being ‘Answered Prayer‘, ‘Quiet In This House‘ and his focus track at UK/Ireland radio ‘Last Thing I Do‘, which received its first radio play on BBC Radio 1, with Future Pop presenter Jodie Bryant saying of the track, “it’s fun, it’s country, it’s pop to the max.”
The 24-year old, who legendary BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris said “is going to be a big star,” is gaining immense traction for blending his Irish roots with his love of country music and storytelling and has also been named one of Absolute Radio Country’s ‘Class of 2025’ artists-to-watch.
Gareth’s debut EP Changing Seasons was released in October 2024, and his cover project Covers (From Across The Pond) which includes his highly acclaimed and viral cover of Noah Kahan’s ‘Stick Season’, which he credits for kickstarting his career. Gareth’s version has received over 25 million views and has been streamed over 15 million times.
Gareth recently performed at C2C: Country To Country Festival in Berlin, Rotterdam and London, where he brought his mum out during his song ‘Quiet In This House’ – the song he wrote about leaving home – social snippet available to view here.
