LONDON, UK – (22 May, 2026) – Rising singer-songwriter Gareth, who is currently on an intimate UK and European headline tour, facilitated a very special proposal while on stage in Cardiff on Wednesday. Taking to his social media to share the special moment, Gareth serenaded happy couple Lee and Elisa with his current single ‘1,000 Lifetimes’ – available to view here.
‘1,000 Lifetimes’ was co-written with Katie Cecil, Jared Conrad and Rob Williford, and Gareth shared of the proposal, “Feeling very lucky to share music for moments like these. Congratulations Lee and Elisha.”
Currently on The Uncut Tour, Gareth will headline the Fortified Festival this weekend in his hometown of Castlederg, before travelling to Sweden for the High Chaparral Country Festival. He will then return to Nashville to play CMA Fest in early June.
Gareth most recently released ‘Don’t Say’ which arrived alongside a busy and fast-rising period for him. He wrapped his first headline tour in Australia earlier this year, and marked his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville last November – a major milestone in his rise from Northern Ireland to the global country stage.
Last year also included his first US tour, headline shows at Ulster Hall and in his hometown, plus appearances at C2C: Country to Country and The Long Road Festival, along with touring support for Kip Moore. He also released his EP Bluebird which showcases his blend of heartfelt storytelling and modern country influences.
