British-Norwegian Composer Kyle Sevenoaks Debut Short “Taste In Music” Selected For Norway’s Top Horror Festival!

The News Comes Following A Standing Ovation At Oslo’s Ravenheart Film Festival In August

“Taste In Music”, the debut horror short film from British-Norwegian director/composer Kyle Sevenoaks, and stars Norwegian-French actor Chris Wiborg, has been selected for the Ramaskrik Film Festival in Norway, which is set to take place in the city of Oppdal from October 20th to 23rd. The festival, considered one of Norway’s most important, screens the film following its successful screening at the Ravenheart Film Festival in Oslo, Norway back in August.

The trailer for the film can be found here.

The film follows a composer alone in his remote cabin when a cosmic storm hits Earth, and he is forced to face down the transformed evil that has become of his keyboard.

Speaking about their inclusion, Sevenoaks said:

“I’m excited and honoured to be included in this year’s Ramaskrik, its reputation as THE place for horror movies old and new in Norway is known far and wide. I look forward to seeing the movies they have lined up, meeting likeminded people and finding out what a new audience thinks of my film, Taste in Music.”

Kyle went on to say this about the film’s inspiration:

“This film was inspired by a conversation “what would happen if this keyboard became alive?”

I had access to a very remote cabin on the Norwegian coast that’s only accessible by boat, and it quickly became apparent that this had to be horror, with a touch of comedy since that’s pretty much who I am. I wanted to create a quick and tight, self-contained story that was fun and asks the question “what would you do in this ridiculous situation?”

Having filmed this on a shoestring budget of only a few hundred dollars and the good will of friends and acquaintances, making this film taught me a lot about what it is to be a director, what to take care of next time and how important it is to know the different departments, if even a little bit.”

Earlier this year, Kyle also released his latest single “You Are Not Gods”. The video for which can be found here.
