British metallers ACRES are pleased to announce their new EP, What It’s Like to Feel Worthless, out October 25 via Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.

Alongside the news of the five-song EP, the band has shared the visualizer for the single Deadweight.”

The song marks new territory for the band, as it stretched and flexed different creative muscles when crafting the track.

“When writing ‘Deadweight,’ we were really conscious keeping all the elements of what we’re known for but also welcoming in the new sound,”
says singer Ben Lumber. “It’s cathartic and anthemic. Lyrically, it’s almost like a conversation between two people expressing how they feel about each other, and coming to terms with how they feel. It’s the first time I’ve written this way.”

Regarding the EP as a whole, Lumber states, “This EP is us trying new things and trying to express ourselves in a new way. We will forever try and change things up with every release but also keeping what our fans like about our band.”
