“Chico are making a strong case for your favorite new hardcore band” – Good Call Music

“There is a natural chemistry present that suggests a group already comfortable pushing beyond traditional hardcore boundaries while remaining rooted in the scene’s DIY spirit.” – Get Some Magazine

On their debut album out today, Chico blend hardcore aggression with alternative groove that rides across ten enticing tracks. From the opening notes of “CLCC” through “Don’t Wanna Be Here,” the band keep a dynamic approach through sweltering riffs, laid-back melodies, and a mix of shouted and sung vocals. Tracks balance from ready to incite a mosh pit to totally blissed out, perfect for the end of summer feeling. The record dives through what it feels like to have a dream and revolve your entire life around it, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it.

Vocalist Lance Gibson expands:

“The record kind of touches on all of the emotions that making being in a band your life entails – joy, struggle, doubt, determination, pride, spite, and more. At times it can feel like a one sided relationship; you give it all your time, money, and effort but you get nothing in return more often than not.”
