Formed at BIMM Music College in Manchester by Naomi in 2023, Plastic Heart is an alt-rock/nu-metal band on the cusp of a breakthrough. 2025 marked a pivotal year as the group unveiled an exciting new post-college lineup in the summer, supporting Naomi’s powerhouse vocals: Phia on bass, Abi on drums and backing vocals, and Jordan on guitar.
Plastic Heart’s set includes a blend of electronic, metal and alt rock influence in equal measure, creating a unique and enthralling sound. An earlier demo track, Spite, is live on SoundCloud, and their new single, My Sweet Ruin, was released on 10th July 2026.
The band is influenced by a range of artists, including Cassyette, Enter Shikari, Amira Elfeky, and Vana.
In the last 6 months alone, the band has tripled its social media followers and successfully cut its teeth in new cities – Stoke-on-Trent, Huddersfield, Leeds and Sheffield, with debuts in Nottingham and the West Midlands in the planning for summer 2026.

Rock ‘N’ Load’s Thoughts:
“Plastic Heart have a solid foundation on which to build, a seriously talented band with the world at their feet. They can draw inspiration from similar bands such as Dead Pony, who have shown what a force a strong female-fronted band can be in 2026, and with all the ingredients needed to step out and make their mark with a single of the quality of Sweet Ruin, who knows how far they can go! Watch this space … “
