Though I’m grateful, for you playing my song
don’t want an algorithmic hell to judge my soul
From someone’s basement or swimming pool
When the music turns to data driven code
Dubinski “Information Overload”

THE FOLLOW UP TO “CIGGY BURNS”
“…an instant indie rock classic.” CLOUT

MAY 22, 2026: Upcoming Edinburgh indie rockers Dubinski have today released their superb new single “Information Overload”, listen here.

“Information Overload” finds the four Gaine brothers who make up Dubinski wrestling with a world that has moved from page to screen, from thoughtful engagement to endless scrolling feeds. Blending sharp alt-rock urgency with biting social commentary, the track explores data mining, digital burnout and the cost of algorithmic control. With a driving hook—“get wet, get paid, get upset again”—the band capture the tension between art and monetization, connection and isolation, asking what happens when music, memory and meaning become just more code.

The video for “Information Overload” has been created using hand-drawn artwork by bassist Donal. With nods to the felt-tip naturalism of the legendary animator Bob Godfrey (Roobarb and Custard, Henry’s Cat) and Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head), the video captures the frustration of digital algorithms determining the fate of modern musicians.

Dubinski – Information Overload [Official Video]

“Information Overload” follows the singles “Ciggy Burns”  (“…highlights how they are able to bring the passion and power of live music into the studio” Clout)mand “Back To Basics” (“Tracks like Back To Basics are what indie rock is all about”  Analogue Trash)  – and both tracks will feature on Dubinski’s as-yet-untitled new long player, set for release later this year.

Comprised of the Yorkshire-born, Edinburgh-based Gaine brothers – Eugene (vocals, guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass), and Eoin (drums) – Dubinski stand at the forefront of Scotland’s next wave of alternative rock. Their combination of jagged guitars with fierce rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics should appeal to fans of socially conscious bands such as Fontaines D.C, IDLES, Benefits and Yard Act. The brothers have gigged relentlessly over the past three years, supporting artists including Young Knives and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club while headlining their own shows across the UK & Europe.

Stand by for news on new live dates.
