Tebey’s Global Momentum Is Just Getting Started

Nashville-based and Ontario, Canada native, Tebey is far from a newcomer, but his current momentum makes him one of country music’s most compelling “one to watch” stories. A platinum-selling artist, award-winning producer, and globally accomplished songwriter, Tebey possesses a rare kind of talent.

As a songwriter, Tebey has built an impressive, international resume spanning pop and country at the highest level. His cuts include ‘They Don’t Know About Us’ (recorded by One Direction), All About Tonight (a UK #1 for Pixie Lott), and ‘Somebody Else Will’, which topped the US Billboard Country Airplay chart for Justin Moore. His catalogue also includes collaborations with Flo RidaFifth Harmony, and country mainstays like Joe Nichols and Blake Shelton. These credits are a reflection of his versatility and instinct for commercially resonant songwriting across genres.

That same instinct carries into his own artist career. Tebey has carved out a consistent presence on Canadian country radio with a string of hits, including the Gold-certified #1 ‘Who’s Gonna Love You‘, which earned him a SOCAN award, alongside the Platinum-selling fan favourite ‘Denim on Denim‘ and Top 10 singles like ‘Somewhere in the Country‘ and ‘Till It’s Gone‘. His 2021 album The Good Ones further cemented his position as a mainstay in modern country, blending traditional themes with contemporary production.

Most recently, Tebey released sun-soaked new track ‘That’s Gonna Leave a Memory‘, an ode to that summer fling you can’t shake. Written by Tebey alongside fellow Canadian hitmakers Steven Lee Olsen and Derek Hoffman, the song captures a feeling that’s both immediate and lasting, turning fleeting heat into something permanent.

Tebey has recently found a powerful lane reimagining global pop hits through a country lens, introducing him to entirely new audiences. His country reinterpretation of ‘Wake Me Up‘ became a Top 5 hit in Canada and an early indicator of his crossover appeal. A decade later, he doubled down on that approach with his viral 2024 cover of ‘Blinding Lights‘ by The Weeknd, which went viral on TikTok and has since amassed nearly 23 million streams, showcasing his skill in blending genres and tapping into real-time digital culture.

Beyond the studio, Tebey is also an entrepreneur. He launched his own record label in 2019, Jayward Artist Group, to support his creative independence and develop emerging talent. Across his catalogue, he has surpassed 140 million global streams, a figure that continues to rise.

Outside of music, Tebey has a deep passion advocating for mental health care. Tebey hosts his annual ‘Tebey Golf Classic’ fundraiser in Peterborough, ON in support of local Youth Mental Health programs. Tebey’s efforts have raised over $350,000 to date as the tournament heads into its 10th year.

With a proven track record behind the scenes, an increasingly global audience in front of the mic, and a knack for reinventing familiar hits in a way that feels fresh and authentic, Tebey is entering a new phase of his career, one that positions him not just as a seasoned hitmaker, but as a true “one to watch” on the international country stage.
