Based in Connecticut, Splitview emerged in 2024 with a cathartic and catchy blend of grunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock. Signed to Static Era Records, the band has built an engaged listener base with their four singles and are now ready to present a fuller body of work. On April 10th, Splitview will release their debut EP, Believe You’ll Be Alright, produced and recorded by John Naclerio at Nada Recording. The five tracks build off vulnerable vocals, surrounded by bold melodies and weighty guitars.
Single “Denial,” out now, plays off dynamics moving between sullen melodies and hard-hitting rhythms that capture the gripping lyrics of the track. The video for the song, directed by Jimmy Barbetti, offers a nostalgic feel as a story of dissolution plays out alongside a performance from the band. You can watch the video for “Denial” HERE and stream the track HERE.
Vocalist Erik Brzoska shares on the lyrics:
“‘Denial’ focuses on how the lyrical emotion changes between the verses and the bridge, in a sort of back and forth approach. Earlier on in the track is foreshadowing the gravity of the decisions you’ve made, while the chorus is a note of self-reflection.”
Splitview have a number of east coast shows on the horizon including a March weekender with Ghost Trader and May with Turn Two. Full dates below.
