“…one of the UK’s most formidable forces in modern deathcore.” — Insane Blog

“…the band disappeared into the workshop for three years. No gimmicks, no forced hype cycle, just silence. In a time when bands struggle to stay ‘algorithm relevant,’ Bound In Fear did it the old-school way and wrote the heaviest record they could muster.” — Metal Devastation Radio

“‘A Mind Too Sick To Heal’ follows the band’s previous releases with a sharpened focus on oppressive atmosphere, unrelenting low-end, and psychological weight — firmly positioning this effort as their most extreme outing to date.” — The Mosh Network

Since emerging in 2016, Bound In Fear has carved out a reputation as one of the most punishing forces in modern extreme music. Their early work, including the underground-lauded Regicide EP and the breakthrough full-length The Hand of Violence (2019), established the band’s trademark blend of crushing downtempo brutality, bleak atmospherics, and intensely personal lyricism. Numerous tours across the UK and Europe only solidified their status as a staple within the heavy community.

Building on the thematic darkness and sonic depth of 2021’s Eternal EP, the band released their sophomore album Penance the same year, revealing the personal upbringing of front-man Ben Mason, and thus concluding the conceptual theme of depression, abuse and anger that “is crushing from start to finish and will leave you reeling by the time it releases you from its formidable grasp” (Distorted Sound Mag).

After the success of Eternal and Penance, the band spent three years forging their new era in the shadows, returning with the acclaimed single “Sentenced” in 2024.

Now in March 2026, Bound In Fear has unleashed their third full-length record: A Mind Too Sick To Heal — “This is a crushing statement of intent,” the band declares.

“Our signature suffocating blend of down-tempo brutality and taste of emotional uncomfortable torment that pushes the boundaries of what we have done before. This is our most punishing and personal album yet.

“A visceral descent into darkness that won’t loosen its grip.”
